Michael Thompson Obituary
Michael Bradford Thompson, age 49, of Florence, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2012.
A memorial service will be at 11 a,m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Spry-Williams Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m.
Mike was a member of the Church of Christ. He was employed with Die Tech as a machinist for more than 26 years. An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing and hunting Indian artifacts.
Survivors include his father, Thomas M. Thompson; mother, Dorothy Dapeice; son, Ryan Thompson; sister, Beth Fennel; best friend and partner in life, Lisa Darling; grandson, Brayden Thompson; very special friends, Vernon and Gail Pettus; and many, many other friends.

He was one of the greatest men I ever knew. I enjoyed every minute that I was around him. He was a great father and a wonderful friend to have. I hope that heaven is a lot like Dixie! RIP Mike

I worked with Mike at Die-Tech for about 10 years. He was a hard worker and a good friend. He will be missed. Praying for the family and very sorry for your loss.
