Natalie and Family, I extend my heartfelt condolences to you all. Nobody could have done more to maintain his health than Pete which makes this seem so unfair. We both started at JHS the same year. From the first time we met and ever after he treated me most respectfully and he in turn was respected by his students and peers. Those who didn´t know him would never have guessed what a great athlete he had been. He never talked about it. He was always cheerful, never lost his tempter and made me feel good that he would consider me to be his friend. He was a good man and true gentleman. I´m so sorry for your loss. May God´s Spirit bring you peace. Tom Sallee

Pete was a good guy...he always listened and gave advise if he could.
He was a wonderful teacher, especially with the handicapped kids.
He was a good father that I got to watch his girls grow up...which they were the light in his eyes as he was in their's...
He will be missed
My deepest sympathy

I always considered Pete one of the good guys. I was able to teach some PE with him my last year at JHS. He was a good colleague. I also enjoyed talking to him about plants. He had a nice collection at his home. Rest in peace. Sending hugs to Natalie and his girls.
