My dad, Ed Haggard, worked closely with Bob throughout the years. Always spoke highly of him.

Reg and family. I was introduced to your father by Ron Coultas in the 1980's. I had gotten elected to the Waverly City Counsel. Ronnie always spoke very highly of your father and it did not take more than one meeting to understand why, While I do not have a lot of stories about your father I do know this he was a great man and one that many people loved and called their friend. I would be one of those people. Apparently God was in need of a good person so he called your dad home. The comfort is knowing that we will see him again when God calls us home. My heart and prayers go out to the Benton family. RIP Bob!!! Your friend Kent D. Seiz.

I had the pleasure to work with Bob in the 1980s while serving as Winchester City Treasurer. He advised our city council and mayor on the city's water and sewer plants with useful and beneficial recommendations. He was a great supporter of Winchester and Scott County. My condolences to the Bob's family and friends.

I remember that my mother, who was about 2 years younger than Bob and in the same school, would periodically mention Bob - she had great respect for him starting his own booming business in the local area. My condolences and prayers for the family and friends.

My sympathy to all the family
I have so many good memories of Bob growing up. And many years later the pleasure of him and Karen visiting us in Oregon. I know he is going to be greatly missed. Such a bright and caring person.

I met Bob when I joined AMBUCS in the early 1980s. He and other Big Hatters like Larry Schmaljohn, Ron Miller, Bill Osborne and Dallas Minear among others, were larger than life figures to me in my early 20s. I have great memories of that time. Bob was definitely a "mover and shaker". RIP sir.
