Robert "BJ" Joseph Wrobleski
Rural Chapin - Robert Joseph "BJ" Wrobleski, 52 of rural Chapin, died Sunday, May 12, 2024.
He was born October 25, 1971 in Urbana, the son of Robert Joseph Wrobleski and Sharon Kvamme Wrobleski and graduated from Beardstown High School in the class of 1989 and later from UTI Auto Mechanic School. He is survived by his father of Beardstown and mother of Texas; his sister Robine (husband Ernie) Bolen of Beardstown; two brothers Trever (wife Brandy) Wrobleski of Beardstown and Travis (wife Amber) Wrobleski of Beardstown; his nephews and nieces Dakota Bolen (girlfriend Haley Sloan), Vanessa Bolen, and Justice, Drake, Lyric, Aspen, and Drayden Wrobleski; his lifelong friend David Smith; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. His love for his family and friends was immeasurable. He was preceded in death by a sister Shawn Marie Wrobleski and a nephew little Trever Wrobleski. BJ was a member of the Beardstown Elks Lodge #1007 and Local IBEW 51. He was a lineman for 30+ years, starting with L.E. Myers, later Ameren, and returning to L.E. Myers Company, working his way up to Superintendent and still working for them. His dedication to his work was unparalleled. He was a simple man with a huge heart. He loved the outdoors and had a lot of toys. If he wanted it, he would go out and get it. He was generous and loved just hanging out with his buddies. He was a great cook. His contagious smile will be missed by all those who loved him the most.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Friday, May 17, 2024 at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown with Pastor Brandon Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the Beardstown City Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 5-7 PM Thursday at the memorial home.
