Virginia "Jenny" Marie Fox
Fishhook - Virginia Marie "Jenny" Fox, 67, of Fishhook, IL, went to be with our Lord in Heaven, on Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, at her home.
She was born Dec. 16, 1954, the daughter of Cornelius Franklin Sparrow and Virginia Devarose Sparrow. She married Reginald "Reg" Kunzeman and to that union was born two daughters, Cari and Christy. She later married Stephen Lee "Steve" Fox on Mar. 22, 1985, and he survives.
She is also survived by four children, Cari (Jason) Gold of Eureka, Christy Kunzeman of Fishhook, Serra (Phuong Nguyen) Fox of Sacramento, CA, and Joshua (Melissa) Fox of St. Charles, MO; twelve grandchildren, Cade Gold, Carson Gold, Adeline Hillman, Spencer Nguyen, Peige (Kaleb) Waters, Savannah Fox, Shelby Fox, Malachi Fox, Robert Fox, Lincoln Fox, Scarlet Fox, and Fiona Fox, and one grandson on the way; one great grandson, Bentley Waters; and three brothers, Neal (Barbel "Babs") Sparrow Jr. of North Port, FL, Jack (Donna) Sparrow of Port Charlotte, FL, and Dan (Dixie) Sparrow of Hot Springs, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, John Edward Sparrow (surviving wife Karen of Bluffs).
Mrs. Fox had worked as a secretary at Ghrist Veterinary Clinic in Pittsfield, DOT Foods in Mt. Sterling, Brant's Office Supply in Winchester, where she also served as Manager, Marshall Chevrolet in Winchester, and Westermeyer Industries in Bluffs. She was a very active member of Chambersburg Christian Church, and served on the board of Central Illinois Emmaus. She had also served as a Supervisor for Fairmont Township and was a member of the Perry School Board. She enjoyed baking, especially for special occasions for her family and friends. Jenny loved attending her children's and grandchildren's many activities.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at Chambersburg Christian Church, with burial at Woodland Cemetery south of Fishhook. The family will meet friends 4:30-7 p.m. Friday at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville, and 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
