Mark Nelson Obituary

Mark E. Nelson 63, a longtime resident of Stoddard, NH, passed away at his home on February 28, 2025.His parents, Earl C. and Mary J. In earlier years, Mark enjoyed playing softball with his brother David on the Peerless Insurance Team, part of the Greater Keene Area Men's Softball League. Skilled with his hands and mind, Mark worked for many years as a mechanic and boat repairman with Highland Lake Transit Marine in Stoddard. He loved hunting and fishing and boating out on Highland Lake. His favorite pastime was the many wonderful memories he was able to create with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by many, especially his son, Mark R. Nelson and his companion, Sarah Masters, of Milton Mills, NH; his grandchildren, Ryan, Skylar, Cayden, Mark, Laurelie, Jason, and Mason; his great-grandson, Archer; his two brothers, David E. Nelson of Keene, Earl D. Nelson of Marlborough, NH; his nieces, Erica Nelson and Leslie Nelson; and his partner of 18 years, Tammy Castor of Stoddard. A graveside service in the Evergreen Cemetery, Winchester, NH will be held in the spring at a date and time to be announced.
