Patricia Burnor Obituary

Patricia Eileen Burnor passed away on February 6, 2025 with her family by her side.

Eileen as she liked to be called was born on September 20, 1936 to Harold Carroll and Maureen O’Keefe in Manhattan, NY.

As a young child she lived in Manhattan, NY until her mother’s passing. From there she lived with various relatives while her father served in the armed forces. After his return to the states and marriage to Priscilla Colton, they moved to Keene, NH, before relocating to Northfield, Mass and Priscilla’s family home. 

Eileen met and eventually married Raymond Burnor on November 14, 1954. Together they had five children. The family resided in Northfield, Mass and then Hinsdale, NH. Following Raymond’s passing, the family moved to Winchester, NH. 

Eileen worked as an aide in the Winchester School system, assisting with cheerleading and various other school activities while her children were in school.

Eileen held many factory jobs over the years, working in quality control, packaging and shipping for companies producing or shipping leather goods, cosmetic and hospital products. She worked for New Hope New Horizons of Keene, NH, Geco Brush, Electrosonics in Spofford, NH and Bard’s in Fitzwilliam prior to her retirement.

While working for Electrosonics in Spofford,NH, she met Arthur Post, her partner of 25 years. They belonged to the Eastern Mass Beagle Club and attended many dog trials on the weekends, and sometimes came home with ribbons or trophy’s their beagles had won.

Following Arthur’s passing, Eileen moved to Northfield, MA residing with her son Robert and his wife Michelle. At the time of her passing she was living in Winchester, NH with her daughter Patricia and her husband Arthur.

Eileen enjoyed spending time with family, reading, talking on the phone to those friends and family that lived out of town, going to yard sales and searching for the perfect thrift store.

Eileen is predeceased by her parents, her husband Raymond Burnor, her companion Arthur Post, sons Michael Burnor and Vernon Burnor, and also by her in-laws, Vern and Hannah Playful.

Eileen is survived by her daughter Patricia Johnson and her husband Arthur of Winchester, NH, daughter Hannah Patnode and her husband Michael of Gloucester, VA, son Robert Burnor and his wife Michelle of Northfield, Mass, her brother Joseph Carroll and his wife Glenda of Gainesville, FL, her sister-in-law Theresa Hallett of Hartley, DE, and her best friend since grade school, Janis Marchant of Keene, NH.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Fountain, Sara Johnson and her partner John Beam, Christopher Patnode, Eileen Patnode, Matthew Smith and his wife Indira, Courtney Burnor, Ashleigh Burnor and her partner David Brescia, William Burnor and his partner Kristi Fairbanks. Her great grandchildren, Lucas Smith, Gabby Smith, Thomas Donahue, Nolan Patnode, Amelia Conley, Sosha Burnor, Nikka Burnor, Logan Burnor, Brandon Burnor, Benjamin Brescia and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Burial will take place at West Northfield Cemetery in Northfield, MA on Friday, May 16th at 1pm. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eileen’s memory to your favorite charity. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire has been entrusted with arrangements. To view online arrangements, leave a message of condolence or for more information please visit www.csnh.com.
