John Pichardo Obituary

John Garcia Pichardo LOCKNEY - Memorial Mass for John Garcia Pichardo, 56, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at San Jose Catholic Church in Lockney. Arrangements are with Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Pichardo died Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at his residence. He was born June 9, 1952, in Moorehead, Minn., to Simon and Francisca Pichardo. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a cook at Furr's Cafeteria for 12 years. He married Isabel Aviles on Jan. 12, 2000, in Plainview. Survivors include his wife; one son, Brandon Pichardo of Nebraska; two daughters and one son-in-law, Rachel and Arnold Maldonado and Stacey Galvan, all of Olton; two stepsons, Johnny Charo of Plainview and Andy Charo of Amarillo; three stepdaughters and three stepsons-in-law, Anna and Chalo Mancias of Texhoma, Okla., Gloria and Albert Mendoza of Lorenzo and Linda and Jody Posada of Plainview; two brothers, Frank Pichardo and Simon Pichardo, both of Plainview; two sisters, Ramona White of Plainview and Silvia Perez of California; his mother; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His father, Simon Pichardo Sr., is deceased. The family suggests memorials to Hospice Hands of West Texas, P.O. Box 1118, Lockney, TX 79241.
