Kent Bearden Obituary
Kent was born on February 18, 1940 in Ft. Sumner, New Mexico to John and Marjorie Bearden. He grew up in Dalhart and attended schools there. He settled in Plainview in 1976 and worked primarily in the Auto Parts Industry. Counting his time when he was in High School, he worked in Auto Parts for 60 plus years! He and his late wife were proud members of the Kiwanis Club here in Plainview.
Kent married Helen Bryan in December of 1960 in Amarillo, Texas. Helen preceded him in death in 2012. In 2014, he married Glenda Magsam and she preceded him in death in 2020. Kent was also predeceased by a daughter, Rhonda Beth Bearden and his parents, John and Marjorie Bearden.
He is survived by his daughter, LaQueta Bearden White and husband Ron of Plainview, son Norman Bearden of Lubbock; sister, Juanita Bearden of Plainview; three grandchildren; Ryan White and wife Staci of Lubbock, Galen Bearden and wife Hannah of Olympia, Washington, Eric Bearden of Lubbock; and one great granddaughter, Liliana White also of Lubbock.
The family suggests memorials to the Kiwanis Club of Plainview, P.O. Box 684, Plainview, Texas 79072.

Dear Nita, Norman, and Quita,
A Lifelong friend has crossed the seas of life and Boated the Oars. Our human loss is a heavenly gain and Kent has reached that shore. My memories of him are many, a true friend, his wisdom, wit, humor, and serious nature has been an encouragement from our youth. He surely is one of Gods Jewels.
