Louise Frazier Obituary
BUTLER, Okla. -- Fu¬neral services for Louise Frazier, 90, of Butler, Oklahoma, were held 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Butler. The service was officiated by Rev. Terry Beals, James Jones and Delbert Cordum. Burial was in the Butler Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home of Clinton, Oklahoma.
Vernia Louise (Burch) Frazier was the first child born to Alfred (Burch) and Carmie (Sewell) Burch in Butler, Oklahoma, on July 4, 1926. Louise passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at the Alliance Health Hospital in Mid West City, Oklahoma.
Louise was raised in the rural Butler area. She attended the Red Walker School District which later consolidated with Butler School. The Burch family made a move to Elmore City, Oklahoma, and later they moved to Plainview, Texas. She furthered her education by attending a business college.
Louise worked for the public in Plainview from 1954-69. Her last job was working for Coca-Cola Company, but she was soon re-acquainted with a grade school playmate, Billy Jack Frazier. They had not seen each other since 1941 and they mar¬ried Aug. 2, 1969, in Pla¬inview. They moved back to the Frazier family farm in Butler where they made their home. They owned and trained thoroughbred race horses until 2003. They raced horses in Chi¬cago, Ill., Louisville, Ky., Miami, Fla., Cleveland, Ohio as well as Oklahoma City, Okla.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and stepdaughter, Eva Frazier; three broth-ers, Owen Doyle Burch, Darwin Burch and Eugene Burch; and a sister, Evelyn Jernigan.
She was a long time faithful member of the But¬ler Baptist Church; she was active in numerous Senior Citizens groups; she rarely missed going to the Clinton Jamboree or anywhere else where there were people and any kind of fun or activity. Her favorite color was red and she wanted ev¬eryone to wear something red to her funeral.
She is survived by three nieces, Donna Sue Fugett, Dumas, Texas, Barbara Caviness, and Lisa Jernigan, both of Amarillo, Texas, and two nephews, Darrell Burch, Amarillo, and Eric Jernigan, Afton, Texas.
