Warren F. Carruth ALAMOSA, Colo. - Funeral services for Warren R. Carruth, 86, of Alamosa, Colo., will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Romero Funeral Chapel in Alamosa. Burial will be in Alamosa Cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Carruth died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010. He was born July 12, 1924, in Miami, Texas, the son of Ernest Carruth and Lemmie Jenkins Carruth. His family moved to Swisher County when he was a boy. In the late 1940s he moved to Plain­view where he worked for Southwestern Public Service for many years, then owned and operated Warren's Garage and winch truck service. In the 1970s he moved to New Mexico and Wyoming as business manager of Frontier Manufactured Housing. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Diane Ragan of Puget Sound, Wash., and Beverly and Allan Henderson of San Angelo; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Douglas and Carol Carruth and Floyd and Carolyn Carruth, all of Alamosa, and Billy Carruth of Pueblo, Colo.; two sisters, Wandell Curry of Pampa and Mickey Ford of Dalhart; and 16 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His parents and a brother, O.W. "Odie" Carruth, are deceased. The family suggests memorials to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, c/o Romero Funeral Home, 1407 State Ave., Alamosa, CO 81101. Online condolences:
