William C. 'Bill' Isbell PETERSBURG - Funeral services for William C. "Bill" Isbell, 78, of Petersburg will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Petersburg with Jesse James Nave officiating. Burial will follow in Petersburg Cemetery under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the church. Mr. Isbell died Friday, April 13, 2012, in Plainview. He was born May 25, 1933, in Paducah to Pete and Lottye Allen Isbell. He left home as a child to cowboy on area ranches in Motley and Cottle counties. He married Earlene Allen in 1951 and began a lifelong career as a blacksmith and welder. He was a 32nd degree Mason. Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Barbara Hale of Petersburg, Bonnie Lightfoot of Grand Junction, Colo., and Debbie Isbell, Tina Goble and Belinda Isbell, all of Abernathy; five brothers; one sister; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
