David Odle Obituary
He was born Aug. 4, 1972, in Valparaiso, the son of David Sr. and Frances (Adams) Odle. David married Julie A. Swiek on March 7, 1997, in Rensselaer.
David was a lifelong resident of the DeMotte area. He graduated from Kankakee Valley High School, Class of 1990. He attended Local #1005 carpenters trade school and has been a union carpenter with the same Local #1005 since 1990.
He was of Catholic faith and was a member of the Hebron Masonic Lodge #502. David liked being outdoors, fishing, gardening, watching wildlife, and working with his hands. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
David is survived by his loving wife, Julie Odle; his mother, Frances Odle; his children, Cheyann Odle, Laura Odle, Sonya Odle, and David R. Odle; siblings, Laura (Paul) Ek, Cindy (Tom) Kubley and Megan Odle; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends and family may visit on Thursday, May 20 at Jackson Funeral Service of DeMotte from 2 – 8 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 21 at Jackson Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. with Father Michael McKinney officiating.
Interment will follow at Crockett Cemetery.
