Gertrude Barnes Obituary
Trudy was a giving soul who championed those who were struggling due to various life circumstances. She was a founding member of Armed Services Assistance Program (ASAP) at her church, Trinity United Methodist. She shared her time, talents, and goods with family and friends.
She had a lifelong love of horses, and she was an avid coin collector.
She is survived by her husband Jan C Barnes, her sister Marie Peacock, her sisters in law Susie Brack and Carol Brack, her nieces Kristi Bolin, Jaime Peacock and Patricia Ann Brack, and her nephew Jacob Brack III, and four grand nieces and four grand nephews.
For those that may wish to make a donation in her memory, please make donations at Trinity United Methodist Church for ASAP.
Her memorial service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in North Myrtle Beach on Saturday May 17th at 11am.
Thank you to all those that have shared in her life and been there for her when she needed you. May the Lord bless you mightily!
