My wife Fran and I are saddened to learn that we have lost a good friend. I worked with Alex in the Philadelphia Division and at the Eastern Regional Headquarters of the Inspection Service. We stayed in touch frequently following his retirement, most recently, by phone last fall. Alex was one of the finest people I ever had the pleasure of knowing. We will miss both Alex and Jean.

My prayers are with Alex's family at this very difficult time. Alex was highly respected by all his fellow inspectors and to work with him was a real experience. I served as Asst. Insp. in Charge under Alex when he was the Insp. in Charge at Philadelphia. I treasure that experience and the time spent with Alex.
