Annie McCray Obituary

COLUMBIA | Mrs. Annie Laura Childes McCray, 78, wife of the late Rev. Dr. J.T. McCray Sr., died Monday, June 5, 2006 in Columbia.

Mrs. McCray was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Jane Weaver Childes of Columbia. She was educated in the Richland public schools. She was a member of Mt. Mariah M.B. Church and the order of the Eastern Stars.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Grace McCray Wiggins (Rev. Odell) of Columbia; one son, James T. McCray Jr. (Rhonda) of Baltimore, Md.; three grandchildren, Brian T. McCray, Camille R. McCray and James Odell Wiggins; one sister, Mary Butler (Caleb); and two brothers, Frank Childes Jr. and Willie Childes (Betty).

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2006 from the Mt. Mariah Missionary Baptist Church, Bucksport Road in the Bucksport community. Burial will follow in the Bucksport Cemetery.
