Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - Charles Edward Whitaker, 70, husband of Patricia C. "Trisha" Whitaker, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ProMedica Hospice, 2050 Corporate Centre Dr., #220, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 or the American Lung Association, P. O. Box 756, Osceola, WI 54020-0756.

So sad to hear about the death of my friend Charlie. A very talented poet and songwriter. We wrote several songs together the most notable "Starship Fly On" the official song of the Challenger 7 fund. He was once of the cleverest, funny people I ever met. My favorite lyrics are the ones he wrote to a melody I had called "Dreams" RIP My friend.
