Mrs. Donna Lynn Major, 59, wife of Daniel Major, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017.
Born June 23, 1958 in Bergen County, NJ, Donna was the daughter of Carolyn Ann Keopplinger Harrison and the late Don A. DyVust. Mrs. Major was a sacrificial mother and grandmother and a devoted wife who loved her husband dearly. She was employed by Crescom Bank in Conway and was an avid quilter. Mrs. Major was a member of NewSpring Church where she was involved in many different areas of service.
Survivors include: her husband, Daniel "Dan" Major of Conway; her children, Doug MacRae and wife Jessica, Heather Turner and husband Bryan; and Katie MacRae, all of Conway; her grandchildren, Riley, Aspen and Aiden; her sister, Ginger Grant of Colorado; her half-brothers, Harry Wayne Harrison of San Diego, CA and Wyatt Harrison of Oakland, NJ; and her half-sister, Wendy Mendez of Oakland, NJ.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00PM Sunday, August 27, 2017 at NewSpring Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 3:30PM-4:30PM.
Memorial donations may be made to the Major Grandchildren's College Scholarship Fund, C/O Crescom Bank, P.O. Box 81137, Charleston, SC 29416 or to the Coastline Women's Center, 1607 9th Avenue, Conway, SC 29526.

Katie and family, I was out of town when I heard this terrible news. There are no words to express my sorrow for your loss. Donna was a beautiful, kind, caring woman who always greeted you with a smile and made you feel special. Dear Major Family,
My wife and I have been a customer at CresCom Bank for many years. As soon as we entered the branch we would feel the great greeting and smiles of our friendly and sweet lady, Donna. It was a highlight when we needed to bank, because of her special presence. We are saddened with tears, and also very grateful to know the presence of a considerate and compassionate heart in Donna. She has added joy to our life, and made an eternal difference of Godly contact in many lives. Praying comfort to all that are dear to her especially.

I knew Donna in high school. What a genuinely lovely young woman! I'm sure she was a great wife and mother, too and that her goodness lifted many peoples' spirits in the years since then.

I am deep;y saddened by this loss. Although it's been a few years since I left Conway. I remember each time I went to the bank, Donna was there. She was an avid biker, as was I. She will be sorely missed and always remembered.
