Florence Margaret Stubbs age 66, died Friday, July 31, 2015 at her residence.
Born on April 22, 1949 in Ilion, New York, she was a daughter of Eva Tripple and the late Charles Tripple. Mrs. Stubbs graduated from Mohawk Central High School and then completed several college courses throughout different military assignments with her husband Arthur. Upon his retirement from the U.S. Air Force she travelled with him to different contracting jobs, Saudi Arabia, Shepperd AFB Wichita Falls, TX, Al Udeid AB, Qatar and Thumrait AB, Oman. She was preceded in death by her sister in law, Barbara Sorokas and husband Tom Sheperd, mother in law, Frances Stubbs and father in law, Arthur C. Stubbs.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur Stubbs of Myrtle Beach; sons, David Stubbs and his wife Debbie of Conway and Christopher Stubbs, wife Britnei and daughter, Skylar of Murrells Inlet; a brother, Charles Tripple and wife Nadine of Mohawk, NY; sisters, Evie Ashley and husband Robert of Mohawk, NY and Patricia Garlock and husband Kip of Mohawk, NY; brothers in law, Harry W. Stubbs and wife Terry of Jackson, NJ, Robert Stubbs and wife Ramona of Albany, NY, Walter Stubbs of Ilion, NY and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father John Bosco officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel and also from 9:00-10:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. An inurnment will be held at a later date in New York.
