Forrest Rogers Obituary
Conway
Forrest B. Rogers, age 22 died Monday, November 17, 2014 in Houston, TX.
Forrest was born in Conway, SC the son of Harry Wayne Rogers and Susan Starnes Rogers. He attended Bethany Bible Chapel and was a graduate of Carolina Forest High School. Forrest was serving active duty in the U.S. Coast Guard as a fireman. He touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with.
In addition to his parents of Conway , Forrest is survived by: one brother, Caleb Rogers; three sisters, Farrah Davis (Rick), McKensie Rogers and Merry Chandlar Rogers, all of Conway; paternal grandmother, Angelina Brady of Newport News, VA, maternal grandmother, Carolyn Starnes of Laurens, SC; and a nephew, Drake Davis of Conway.
Funeral services with full military honors will be held at 3:30 P.M. Monday, November 24, 2014 at Bethany Bible Chapel with Rev. David Avant and Rev. Dave Rickert officiating. The family will receive friends at the church after the service. Burial will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Laurens, S.C.

Forrest was the first of your three children I had the privilege of teaching. He was such a hard working second grader, with a ready smile and helpful hand. Even then, a perfect gentleman. I remember the first time I met him when he was in Jan Selwa's kindergarten class. With a big grin, he told me his favorite color was green because his name was Forrest. Words fall short in times as these, but I know your strong faith and family support will be your comfort. I am sure God has prepared a place for Forrest that is as relaxing and tranquil as the blue of the ocean he loved and as green as the forests of his namesake. May that same peace and comfort be yours in the coming days. I will continue to keep you and the children in my prayers.
