Hemingway, SC…. Francis Marion Stalvey age 73, formerly of Socastee, died on March 18, 2016 at home.
Mr. Stalvey was born in Conway, a son of the late Whittaker and Mettie Hewitt Stalvey. He loved his dog, Baby; farming, gardening, and his family. Mr. Stalvey was predeceased by a brother Levon Stalvey and an infant sister.
Surviving are: his wife of 51 years, Nell Martin Stalvey; son Francis Brian Stalvey and his wife Hope; daughter, Teresa Stalvey; grandson Brandon J. Carroll and his girlfriend, Brandi; great granddaughter, Sofia Carroll; step grandson, Thomas Gallagher; step great grandchildren, all of Hemingway, SC; many nieces; nephews; and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday from Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 til 5:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
