Harry Vick Obituary
Myrtle Beach
In loving memory of Harry Jerome Vick age 57, who died Friday, March 29, 2013 at his residence.
Born in Greenwood, Mississippi, he was a son of the late Claude Strait and Edith Sue Vick. Mr. Vick retired from the City of Myrtle Beach Fire Department after 23 years of service. He was the founder and owner of Heritage Floor Covering and the owner of Heritage Village and Heritage Outdoor Storage. He was a talented carpenter, an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing billiards.
Survivors include his 2 daughters, Mindy Hunter (Scott) and their son, Wyatt Cole Hunter all of N. Charleston, SC and Miranda Vick (Steven Franks, II) of Murrells Inlet, SC; a brother, Claude Strait Vick, Jr. of Mullins, SC; a nephew, Chris Vick of Mullins, SC and his beloved dogs, Rusty and Bailey.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.
Memorials may be made to South Atlantic Fishermen's Assoc., PO Box 80938, Charleston, SC 29416.

Harry did a lot of work for us at Ocean Creek. He was a great man. He did an incredible job with the tile and millwork. I could always count on him for anything. I would often call him for small maintenance projects that he would gladly do. He was always so friendly and laid back. I always wanted to go drink beers with him out on the boat. I will miss Harry and Terry. They were first class people. The family will always remain in my thoughts and prayers! Love Ron

I was truly shocked and saddened to hear this news. Harry had done some work for us and I would see him often at the storage yard. I always enjoyed talking fishing with him and hearing stories about his fire fighting days. I am sorry we never got to go on that fishing trip we always talked about. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
