Henry Wyatt Cannon, 88, died Monday, September 30, 2013 at Conway Manor.
Mr. Cannon was born in Conway, SC, a son of the late Edgar Norman and Thelma Owens Cannon. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII. Mr. Cannon was a retired farmer and Agriculture Superintendant at Tom Yawkey Wildlife Center in Georgetown. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Mr. Cannon was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Smith Cannon; his second wife, Evelyn Gore Cannon; one son, James Jeffrey Cannon; three brothers, James Odell Cannon, Harris Lee Cannon and Edgar Ronald Cannon; and one sister, Nettie Mae Cannon Graham.
Surviving are: two sons, Sonny Wyatt Cannon (Hedy) of Conway and Danny Leon Cannon (Loretta) of Loris; three daughters, Cynthia Diana Duke, Almona Beverly and Anne Taylor all of Conway; four grandchildren, Scotty Wyatt Cannon (Susan) of Loris, Jeffrey Wyatt Cannon (Ginger) of Raleigh, NC, Amy Lynn Cannon of Loris and Edwin Keith Cannon of Morehead City, NC; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wilma Cannon Cook and Velma Cannon Cook (Naught) all of Georgetown; and a close family friend, Pat Cox and caregiver, Gail Anderson.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Lindsay Brown and Rev. Lee Singleton officiating. Burial will follow in Pauley Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff of 4th Station at Conway Manor for their care during his illness.
