Myrtle Beach
Jarvis M. Stephens age 32, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at his residence.
Born in Lumberton, NC, a son of Edgar and Kimberly Stephens. Jarvis was a cancer survivor and worked as a sales consultant at Starwood Vacations (Sheraton). He enjoyed basketball and a good book.
Surviving are his mother Kimberly Stephens of Myrtle Beach; father, Edgar H. Stephens and wife Penny of Myrtle Beach; two brothers, Jerod Stephens (Sarah Hughes) of Myrtle Beach and Jason Stephens and wife Jamie of Elizabeth City, NC; maternal grandparents, Bettye and Billy Dove of Bladenboro, NC; paternal grandmother, Doris Ann Stephens of Southport, NC and two nieces, Emily and Natalie Stephens of Elizabeth City, NC.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Friday, March 4, 2016 at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to: American Cancer Society, 950 48th Ave. N., Suite 101 Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.

My daughter Laura Lawal and I send sincere condolences to Kim, Bettye and Billy for this sad loss. While I didn't know Jarvis, I knew his mom as a young child and cannot imagine the pain. May God hold you all in His hands and bring comfort in these difficult days.
