To the Brazee Family - My prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. While I never personally knew Dr. Jason Brazee, I was a patient of his sister, Louise Brazee, for several years, and I am fortunate to currently have his daughter, Sarah, as my managing supervisor at Eastman Chemical Company. Dr. Jason's legacy of kindness, achievement, and strong work ethic is most certainly evident through Sarah as well. May God bless all of you and wrap you in the arms of His loving care.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family; I'm sorry for your loss. Dr. Brazee was one of a kind. He was a kind man and a great doctor. He never rushed, always listened, and treated me like the only patient he had that day. Doctors like him are few and far between. I was sad to hear of his passing.

As a Regional Director of Operations for Wellmont Medical Associates. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Brazee during his tenure as Chief Administrative Medical Officer. He shared his many years of knowledge, skills, abilities and wisdom to help us grow and be a better physician driven operation. On a regional level he was highly respected from the providers he interacted with. He was a class act and will certainly be missed, but will live in our success and hearts.
Many Blessings to the family. I pray peace and comfort for you.

My family and I loved Dr. Brazee. He was always good to us, especially my grandmother. I got to know him as both my employer and my doctor, and he was exceptional as both. It's very rare to find a person as intelligent, kind, and down to earth as he was. Will remember the family in prayer.

Brazee family, Hearing of your loss makes me feel I have lost a family member. My wife and I were patients for so many years and, not only did we find an excellent doctor, we found a friend, encourager, counselor and motivator. He was extra special in caring for my wife during 13 years of terminal illness, passing in 2015, and I can imagine the light hearted greeting she gave him when their souls met. As for me, I have lost a great friend! God bless the entire family.

The Dr Brazee I knew is rejoicing in Heaven with Jesus.
My name is Peggy, and I am so very sorry for your loss and pain.
I met Dr Brazee when I was young. My brother, Chico, got leukemia when he was 25. He was sent to Dr Carter. Locke if I remember correctly. There was a medical student around the same age as my brother doing his internship with Dr Carter. His name was Jason Brazee.
He and my brother became good friends. Jason was fascinated with caves and where we lived there were several so, Kenneth, his real name, agreed to Jason's terms and took him to see the caves. His terms were, that he would only go if Chico would promise he would not go in with him. He dropped his flashlight in the very first cave.... his version of the story is so funny. I would always run somewhere and hide when he came to the house. Chico's friend became my Mom's Doctor and cared for her so well for 30+ years. He was my Dr the last 8-9 years of his practice. My sister got sick a few years ago and had no insurance and no Dr and because he thought so much of my Mom, he saw my sister for free for a whole year. That's the man I knew and loved and appreciated and will never forget. I will miss talking about growing up on a farm, just like he did.

God bless and keep you
Comfort and hold you
Carry and uplift you

Chico's sister,

I worked with Dr. Brazee, when he was a senior resident in Critical Care, at Holston Valley Medical Center.I was a Registered Nurse in ICU at the time.
Dr.J was an outstanding physician and one of the best physician diagnosticians I had seen. I couldn't wait to get to work on my 3-11 shift for him to come through and review each of the patients in ICU and give us his medical summary of each- I just can't say how much I learned from him. I went on to be promoted to the RN Director of Critical Care and I will always credit Dr. J Brazee for truly enhancing and integrating my knowledge of the care of the critical care patient-what an awesome physician he was!!

I was just thinking about Dr Brazee when I came across this ....What a shock !!!
He was the kindest , most caring Doctor I have ever had . He was my Doctor for years ... shortly before my daughter was born I went to him and continued to . When my daughter became old enough to be a patient , I took her to him . I recently had been to the Doctor and was missing being able to go to him for care because , I no longer receive the high quality care he gave from any other Doctor .
I am so very sorry for your loss , he will be missed by so many .
