Josephine "Jody" "Maka" Kowalski, age 81, wife of the late devoted husband of 55 years, Bruno Kowalski, died Friday, February, 24, 2012 at Conway Medical Center.
Mrs. Kowalski was born in Schenectady, New York, a daughter of the late Attilio and Anita Scaccia. She was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and Royal Barber and Beauty Academy. She was the owner and operator of Saratoga Supermarket - IGA in Cohoes, NY.
Surviving are: two sons, Richard B. Kowalski of Myrtle Beach and David P. Kowalski and wife Anne of Ballston Spa, NY; one daughter, Sherry O'Connor of Conway; five grandchildren, Jason O'Connor, Jessica Williams, Jaclyn Marsden, Rachael Osinski, and David J. Kowalski; four great grandchildren, Ryan Marsden, Hannah Marsden, Jayden Osinski and Austin Osinski; one sister, Julie Gardiner of Schenectady, NY; two sisters in law, Irene Kowalski and Jennie Scaccia, both of Schenectady, NY; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
Funeral services will be private.

Dear Rick, I was saddened to hear of the loss of your mom..I never met her but my sister Heidi knew her from the beauty shop and my dad knew your mom and dad and Uncle Jack..He spoke highly of them.
