The Funeral for Mrs. Avant, widow of Mr. John Avant, will be held 2PM Sunday at Cherryhill MBC in Conway. Burial will follow in The Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers please make donations to The John Avant Scholarship Fund. Latimer's Funeral Home is in charge.

On behalf of the late Mr. And Mrs. Peter Fisher (Elizabeth Carter Fisher), their children would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family of Mrs. Avant. We remember her warm soul and sweet spirit while growing up and visiting Conway on summer vacations. Heaven has truly gained another angel...we will ALWAYS have her in our memory and hearts forever, for she was family to us as well. Do not let your heart be troubled. To be absent from the body is to be present in HIS spirit!

What a dear sweet lady. I will always have wonderful memories of going to her home on Wednesday afternoons for Cub Scouts. As an adult, I loved to see her on my visits to Conway and she would smile and proudly proclaim to all around her that "that there was one of my Scouts"! Family, may you be comforted by all the wonderful memories created during her lifetime. Rest well Mrs. Avant.
