Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - In memory and celebration of our beloved who made this world a brighter place.
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Mary Austin, age 81, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday August 14th surrounded by family and love. She graced this world with her presence on December 27th, 1940 in Columbia, SC, she was the only daughter of the late Mary Lillian Ellison. Mary had many roles within her life she was a mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and best friend. Ms. Austin worked in finance for many years but followed her passion after retiring and became a daycare owner for over 20+ years and dedicated the rest of her life to children so much that she became a foster parent well into her 70's. Ms. Austin is survived by her eight children: Paul Guyton, Brian Guyton, Arthur Ellisor, Suzie Lane, Andy Guyton, Steven Guyton, Karyn Austin and Ashlyn Austin. As well as six grandchildren, Micheal, Tyler, August, Colby, Riley, Kennedy, and three great grandchildren, as well as many friends and loved ones of the Horry County area. Mary will be laid to rest on September 3rd at Greenlawn cemetery at 11:00am with a small celebration of life to follow at Mary's residence in Myrtle Beach. She will be remembered by her beautiful and selfless acts of kindness and a woman who went out of her way to build an extraordinary life for the ones she loved.
