Mrs. Mireille Timotio "Mimi" Belue, 85, of 9200 Glen Water Drive, Charlotte, N.C., widow of Richard "Mickey" Belue, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at University Nursing & Rehab in Charlotte, N.C.
Mrs. Belue was born in Auboue, France, February 3, 1926, a daughter of the late Joachim Timotio and Marie-Louise Altemarie Timotio. She immigrated to the United States through Ellis Island after meeting and falling in love with Richard Belue of Union, S.C., who was stationed in Paris at the end of World War II. Mimi and Richard married in Union, S.C., and lived together in Rock Hill, Lancaster and Sumter, S.C. She later in life relocated to Garden City to be close to her daughter, Cindy Finney. She finally moved to the Charlotte, N.C., area to live near her daughter, Vivian Moody of Charlotte, N.C., and her son, Mark Belue of Harrisburg, N.C.
Surviving are two daughters, Vivian B. Moody of Charlotte, N.C., and Cindy B. Finney of Surfside Beach; a son, Mark O. Belue of Harrisburg, N.C.; five grandchildren, Chrystal Petro, Joe Moody, Jr., both of Charlotte, N.C., Anthony Finney of Murrells Inlet, Philip Belue and Michele Belue, both of Harrisburg, N.C.; four great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Petro, Gabriel Petro, Justus Petro, all of Charlotte, N.C., and Rowan Finney of Murrells Inlet. Also Mimi is survived in France by a sister-in-law, Nada Timotio of Auboue; a niece, Mireille Timotio Poncin of Maisonsgoutte; four nephews, Daniel Timotio of Metz Batilly, Jean-Claude Touvier, of Metz, Michel Rolla and Pierrot Rolla, both of Nancy.
Mimi was predeceased by three sisters, Odette Timotio, Marie-Therese Altemarie Touvier and Ninni Altemarie Rolla; and a brother, Jean-Timotio.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Fairforest Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Elias Coye Still. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Philip Belue, Anthony Finney, Joe Moody, Jr., Joe Moody, Sr., Alex Bridges, Steve Garland and Waldo Pepper. The family will receive friends in the church, from 1:30 to -3 p.m., prior to the service Sunday.
