Patricia Stuber Obituary

Patricia M. Stuber, a resident of Indigo Creek, Murrells Inlet, S.C., and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at the National Health Care Center concluding a long illness. She was the loving wife of Robert C. Stuber, Sr. for 55 years.
Patricia was born in Bennington, Vt., September 29, 1933, daughter of the late Robert and Evelyn Jones Watson. She attended the schools of Bennington and started college for Teaching. Mr. and Mrs. Stuber, Robert and Patricia, married at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Stony Point, N.Y., April 2, 1954. In earlier years, she was employed by the State of New York as an Occupational Therapist at Letchworth, Village, a school for the mentally disabled in Thiells, N.Y. Patricia was a member of the Surfside United Methodist Church, Surfside Beach, and the Grand Strand Shell Club, Myrtle Beach. Her hobbies included sharks teeth, shell collecting and crafting. She enjoyed sharing her collections and shell creations with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and camping. Patricia was a devoted wife with her home and family as her primary interest. She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother, Robert Morin, Nina Morrison, Ora Watson and Robert Watson.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Stuber of Murrells Inlet; four children, Robert Stuber, Jr. of Mechanicsville, Md., Kathleen Herbert of Wyckoff, N.J., Kevin Stuber of Circleville, N.Y. and Melody Owens of Myrtle Beach; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; four sisters and two brothers, Shirley Brown of Vt., Beverly Schultz of Vt., Priscilla Stuber of N.Y., Sandra Stalmer of Vt., Lawrence Watson of N.Y., and Phillip Watson of Vt.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.

Ahh, aunt Pat,, one of my favorate Aunts... great memories in Myrtle Beach collecting shells and shart teeth,,she was always so patient, and knowledgable while searching for shells/ teeth. Im not sure how many people know this but she saved my life when i was little at Rio, im not sure how old i was but, i somehow got out to the swim platform aways from shore and got pushed off,, she saw this and jumped in to save me, i grabed on to her, and she started to go down w me.. she saved me... I thank you,, aunt pat,,, and love you.. My Mom will hold your hand now... love Debbie Huyler...
