Peter Bona Obituary

Peter Salvator "Pete" Bona, 68, died on Friday, September 11, 2015. Born on January 15, 1947, he was the son of the late Peter A. and Malfalda Maresco Bona. He was predeceased by his son, David Bona.
Pete Bona was born in Ossining, NY where he grew up and graduated from high school and attended college. He was employed by the Fishkill Fire Department and Fishkill Highway Department in Fishkill, NY. Pete enjoyed fishing, boating, yard work, being outdoors, NASCAR, and helping others. He served in the US Army for four years. He and his wife, Audrey, moved to Conway two years ago, where was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife Audrey Thompson Bona, of Conway; four children, Jimmy (Charyle) Bona of Knightdale, NC; Thomas Bona of Pace, FL; Lisa Bona of Port Jervis, NY; and Christine Bona of Wappinger, NY; three step-children, Carl Carlson of Marlboro, NY; Maureen LaBlanc of Sidney, NY; and Tayna Brackstedt of Lexington, NC; three siblings, Judy (Keith) Brown of Knightdale, NC; Joe (Joanne) Bona of Roanoke, VA; Bridgette (Tony) Morabito of Hopewell Junction, NY; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is being planned to be held in November at Trinity United Methodist Church, Conway, SC. Arrangements will be announced when finalized.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church, 198 Long Avenue, Conway, SC 29526.
