Travis J. Eiler is one of the few people that we can really be proud of. So many of us have lived, and are living, our lives in vain - emptiness - not even thinking about pleasing The Almighty Creator of this universe in Faith & following His Instructions, nor actually pleasing those around us, truthfully. Travis did it all, serving those around him, making people happy, helping everyone in many Real ways. And most of all, actually the only way anyone can help others, Travis did continually. Travis served and pleased The Almighty Creator continually, always having The Father's will in the upper most of his thoughts and deeds. Travis's life is one of the few lives throughout the ages that was not lived in vain at all. Travis's life was more productive, pleasing and successful in the eyes of The Almighty Creator than most people that have lived 70, 80 even 100 years, thanks be to The True Living Power of The Messiah. Travis displayed and experienced REAL Success, Peace and Joy above any, and all human "understanding" - Shalom. Travis was a Real man here and will be rewarded greatly in our Eternal Kingdom, haleluYaH !! Travis was a really Awesome man. His life was truly Fruitful, and The Seeds that were planted through Travis J. Eiler will continue to grow and bear Great Fruit. haleluYaH ! Thanks must be given where credit is due, to Travis's parents, Eric & Danielle Eiler. Thanks to their Faith in our Savior, they did, and are doing a Wonderful job with their children. haleluYaH !

I did not know this young man, but I'm deeply saddened by his death. I can only pray that somehow, some good will come from this young man's life and witness while he served God in Asia. I also pray that the one(s) who participated in this tragedy will be made to realize the evil they have done and turn from their violent ways to God. May God continue to comfort family and friends.

Danielle and Eric, Jack and I were so saddened to read of Travis' death, especially with no rhyme or reason. You both have been true witnesses to the power of God to sustain us when we don't have any answers. You are in our prayers.
Eric, I still remember our two beautiful sets of stairs, especially the ones at Litchfield which were signed with the cross underneath the carpet. Danielle, I remember seeing you at Jackie Nelson's funeral. Knowing you had become a strong Christian was a blessing to me.
Jack and I have moved to the Lakes to a cottage. Would love to see you both anytime.
We will be in Greenboro to celebrate Chistmas with our son and his family. He was the missionary in Paraguay for 10 years.

To the Eiler family, May God comfort you and give you peace during your time of loss. We know what it is to lose a child, but by the grace of God, we were able to accept our loss, with a stronger faith in Him. He carried us through it all when we could not carry ourselves. May Travis live in your hearts and minds as a wonderful young man who was devoted to the Lord. May God bless you and keep you.

"Committed to the Cause of Christ" words and music by Joel Lindsey and Jeff Silvey, 2003. This song sums up what the life of Travis stood for.
I am not able to copy this song on this site...but please find it on line and you will see the words for yourself and see that they apply to his life.
Praying this song will give you peace in the midst of this sorrow that has come your way. I only viewed Travis from afar. He was a friend of a neighbor's son across from us. I could tell that at the age of 16 when I met him that he was sold out for Jesus, his life was totally committed to Him. Know that he is resting in the arms of Jesus. In Christ's love, Donna G Kuczma /Myrtle Beach, SC

I am an Army Chaplain in Afghanistan, Travis was a close friend of my daughter Leigh at Southern Wesleyan, and we live a few miles from the University. Travis was in our home on a number of occasions and I last had an opportunity to talk with him via Skype this summer when he was at our house visiting my family. he was so excited about returning to the mission field. He was a vibrant young man who loved his Savior and was willing to do whatever he could to tell others about Christ. Our hearts are grieving with you and you are in our prayers, but I think Travis was exactly where he knew God wanted him.

It speaks volumes of the kind of young man Travis became. He chose to lift others up through the out reach of Campus Crusade rather than "play it safe" and stay in the states, finding work and play. He will truely be missed, but his spirit will live on because of his willing to reach out to others - they will remember him.
God has a new angel in heaven!

Dear Eiler family,
It was my honor to teach Travis back at Forestbrook Elem. Travis was one of those kids that you just know in your heart will make you proud and that you'll never forget him. Even after he became an adult, whenever I ran into him out and about, he always had a big hug and smile for me. I am devastated by his loss and grieve with you. I am however, comforted by the knowledge that he is in a much better place where evil does not exist.
Love,

Mrs. and Mr. Eiler,
Please accept my deepest condolences upon the loss of Travis. Perhaps you recall that I was the Assistant Principal at Forestbrook Middle School. I enjoyed speaking with Travis and was so proud of his academic abilities. I am in NYS in the position of Assistant Superintendent of Schools but regularly read the Sun News as Myrtle Beach and the students that I met are still very dear to my heart. Travis' spirit will live on.
With Deepest Sympathy,
