Dennis Moriarty Obituary
Our loving husband and dad finished his last birdhouse on January 2, 2017. Dennis was born in South Salt Lake on July 6, 1940, son of John Henry and Louise Moriarty.
Dennis knew it was his lucky day when he met Karon Miller in November 1961. They married on June 9, 1962.
Survived by his wife, Karon; two sons Dan (Lea) and Rob (Mary); one brother, Michael; and numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. Preceded in death by seven siblings: George, Chick, Jimmy, Jack, Billy, Jeanne, and Helen.
Owing to his Irish heritage, there will be a wake on Thursday, January 5 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Please use the complimentary valet parking provided on the north side of the building.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 6 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, 4360 West 5415 South, Kearns, where friends may call upon the family beginning at 10:30. Committal will follow at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City.

To the Moriarty Family,
Please accept our condolences on the passing of your loved one. I always held Dennis in high regard and felt he was a fine person with strong Christian morals. I remember seeing him on many occasions doing maintenance work at the rectory at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Kearns. I believe he served his fellow man as God asks of every Christian and my faith tells me that Dennis has earned his place in God's Kingdom.
