Winnie Hooks Obituary
Conway
Winnie G. Hooks, 79, wife of the late Harley "Edsel" Hooks, Sr., died Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Agape Rehabilitation of Conway.
Mrs. Hooks was born in Conway, a daughter of the late Otto and Fannie E. Cooper Guyton. She was a former member of Bayboro Baptist Church and attended Bethany Bible Chapel. Mrs. Hooks retired from Belk of Conway. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are three daughters, Michelle H. Eldridge and husband John, Deborah Ann Cail all of Conway and Sherry Lynn Thomas and husband Mike of Myrtle Beach; one son, Russell Eugene Johnson of Conway; one stepson, Harley "Edsel" Hooks, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lacey Lewman and husband John of Marietta, GA.
Graveside services will be private at Bayboro Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
