Kimberly Massie

Mrs. Kimberly 'Kim' Sue Ward Massie, age 49, of Milton, entered this life on September 12, 1968, in Detroit, Mich. She was the loving daughter of Charles E., Sr. and Dorothy Scholey Ward. She moved to Trimble County, Ky. in 1970 and was a 1987 graduate of Trimble County High School. She earned an Associate Degree in Accounting from Ivy Tech College in 1989. She had worked in the deli department of the Kroger Company since 1989. She was united in marriage to Gerald Nathan Massie on May 5, 2005, in Gatlinburg, Tenn. She was a member of the Milton United Methodist Church and was a volunteer firefighter with the Madison Township Fire Company. Kim enjoyed gardening, caring for her lawn, her family and being with her friends. Kim died on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at 8 a.m. at her home in Milton.
Kim will be missed by her loving husband, Gerald Nathan Massie of Milton; her loving mother, Dorothy Scholey Ward of Milton; her stepsons, Dusty Massie and his wife Robin of Cincinnati, Ohio, Andy Massie and his wife Amy of Milton; her stepdaughter, Beth Ann Massie of Hanover, Ind.; her step-grandchildren, McKenzie, Dawson, Jay, John, Alyssa, and Adelyn; her brother, Charles 'Chuck' Ward, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Milton; her sister, Margaret 'Maggie' Ward of Milton; her nephew, Jeffrey Ward of Milton; her father and mother-in-law, Edward N. 'Buddy' and Myrna Yount Massie of Madison, Ind.; her brother-in-law, James Michael Massie and his wife, Loretta of Milton; her sister-in-law, Pam McCane and her husband, Jim of Milton; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles E. Ward, Sr., died May 30, 2014; her grandparents, Warren and Minnie Ann Ward; Henry and Pauline Scholey; her sisters-in-law, Beverly Denise Massie, died April 2, 1989, and Jennifer Ann Burnham, died January 30, 2011.
