Died: October 5, 2024 in Peru, IL
Anita M. Mussatto, 68, of Spring Valley, passed away Saturday, October 5th, 2024, at OSF St. Elizabeth-Peru.
Cremation has been accorded. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Anita will be held on Monday, October 14, at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Seneca (176 W. Union Street). Rev. Ryan Mattingly will officiate. Anita will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Seneca. The Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley, is assisting with the local arrangements.
Anita was born in Ottawa, IL on August 4, 1956 to William T. and Anita (McGrath) Carrier.
She is survived by her son, Jason Spayer (Cara Brookins) of Spring Valley; grandchildren, Declan Spayer of Spring Valley, Eian Spayer (Dominique Bontog) of Houston, TX, and Emma and Ella Groomes; three great grandchildren, Atlas, Asher, and Christopher; four brothers, William Carrier, John (the late Susan) Carrier, Peter Carrier, and Paul (Patricia) Carrier; and three sisters, Deb (Butch) Rivers, Catherine Wheeler, and Mary (Dave) Kelley.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Kathleen in infancy.

My family and I are so sorry to hear about Anita's passing. I remember first meeting all the Carrier children. They all had different shades of red/blonde hair! We all have fond memories of our families getting together for holidays, picnics, and family reunions. I am sure Anita will be missed by all her children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters!
