Arlene Lamb Obituary

Arlene Helen (Noonan) Lamb
Born: February 16, 1936
Died: October 1, 2023
Arlene Helen (Noonan) Lamb age 87 passed away peacefully with her family and best friend, Tiffany Mann, by her side on October 1, 2023.
Arlene was born on February 16, 1936 to Timothy and Linda Noonan. She was born and raised in Chicago. In 1956 she married the love of her life Peter Lamb. The family lived in Darien IL for 36 years before falling in love with the town of Marseilles and moving in 1995. After 56 years of a happy marriage, Peter passed away in 2013.
Arlene enjoyed the small-town atmosphere of Marseilles so much that she took a job at D&S Foods.
Arlene worked at D&S for 21 years and her favorite job title was "The Flower Whisperer."
Everyone who met Arlene knew her major love of four things: Flowers, Anything Purple, The River, and Her Grandchildren / Great Grandchildren. Other than D&S Arlene also worked as a bookkeeper for King Real Estate and Best Messenger and was a volunteer for The Coast Guard Auxiliary for 20 years, Darien Police Matron for 15 years and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church from 1995 until her passing with many of those years on the church council and the New
Life Singers church choir.
Arlene is survived by her son Tim (Donna) Lamb, grandsons Paul (Bethany) Lamb and Tom (Jade) Lamb, and her three great-grandchildren Evangelina, Willow, and Brooks. A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pet Project (2676 E 2575th Rd, Marseilles IL 61341) or Marseilles Nursing Service (227 Main St, Marseilles IL 61341).
