Clifford 'Gene' E. McGee
Born: September 19, 1944
Died: August 9, 2022
Clifford "Gene" E. McGee, 77 of Streator passed away Tuesday (August 9, 2022) at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Following cremation, a visitation will be held Sunday from 1 – 3PM with services following at 3Pm at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Moon Point Cemetery with full military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW.
Gene was born on September 19, 1944, in Streator to Clifford C. and Dorothy (Pope) McGee.
He is survived by a daughter Stephanie (Michael) Coons of LaSalle, grandchildren, Nicholas McGee and A.J. Coons, great-granddaughter Korra McGee and a sister Patricia McGee of Streator, and a brother-in law, Butch Kidder, niece and nephew of Tulsa, OK.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Barbara Kidder.
He graduated from Woodland High School in 1963. Gene served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He retired from Vactor Mfg. He enjoyed watching Auto racing, Chicago Cubs Baseball and Chicago Bears Football, and attending his grandchildren's sports events.
Memorials maybe made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
