Dean Anderson Obituary
Dean L. Anderson Sr., age74, of Ottawa passed away January 29, 2022.
Per Dean's wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Dean was born September 3, 1947 in Ottawa, Illinois, a son of Sidney and Evelyn (Vincent) Anderson. He married his loving wife Sherry (Caffee) Anderson on March 16, 1968 in Ottawa. She preceded him in death March 19, 2010. He is survived by his children, Tony (Vanetta) Anderson and Billyjo (Jessica) Anderson all of Ottawa; grandchildren, Amber (John) Baize, Heather (Andrew) Janke, Bradley (Tanya) Anderson and Billy (Lauren) Anderson; great-grandchildren, Paige Janke, Jacob Janke, and Corbyn Anderson; a brother, Harlo (Joann) Anderson; and a sister, Joan LaPradd. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Sidney, Arvid and Donny Anderson; sisters, Marilyn Tunget and Betty Elko; and a son, Dean Anderson Jr. on June 1, 2010.
Dean was a machinist by trade and loved working in the yard and on houses. He will be missed by his family and friends.

I certainly enjoyed running into Dean at the Brite Spot Restaurant. He was a happy guy with some clever humor to spread around. I miss him.
I also have memories of his son Dean and how he helped re-roof my grandmothers home years ago.

My deepest condolence so sad to hear this Dean was a terrific person inside and out and the best neighbor my mother (maxine)ever had and her friend as well they love to sit together and talk he will always be remembered
