Dean A. Brownsey, 82, of Pontiac, IL passed away on Sunday, July 11th, 2021 at OSF Saint James John W. Albrecht Medical Center.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Per his wishes, there will be no services. Memorials may be made to the Family. Calvert and Martin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Dean was born on August 10th, 1938 to Hazel and Alfred Brownsey in Streator.
He married Betty Ann Stadel, who was the love of his life and they were married for 59 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, son, James Brownsey, and daughter, Dawn Kirby.
He is survived by his sons, Shawn (Tina) Brownsey and Scott (Beth) Brownsey and son in law, Ricky Kirby. Brothers, Keith (Marilyn) Brownsey, of Streator and Ken (Barb) Brownsey, of Florida. Grandchildren, Haley and Hunter Brownsey, Crystal, Jeremy, Justin, and Deena Koetz, Matt and Megan Johnson, and Samantha Brock.
Dean and his wife Betty were avid campers for 30 years. He loved sitting by the fire, laughing and telling jokes.
His grandchildren were the love of his life.
He was a wonderful father, husband, brother, and grandpa. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
