Gregory Barnes Obituary

Gregory Scott , Sr. and Brenda Jo Barnes
Gregory Scott Barnes, Sr., 62 and Brenda Jo Barnes, 62 of Sheridan, IL, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at their residence. Greg was born January 28, 1959 in Aurora, IL. Brenda was born May 10, 1958 in Aurora, IL.
Greg and Brenda both graduated from West Aurora High School. They married November 12, 1977. Their love blossomed five children that sprouted up in the Aurora/Sheridan area. Blooming a beautiful family "It was always love at first sight." Greg pursued his dream to support his family by owning his own successful drywall company with his older brother. Conversely, Brenda dedicated the majority of her years raising their children at their jovial loving household. In more recent years, she was known for superb customer service and contagious smile at BP/Walmart but always as a lively mother.
Greg and Brenda dedicated their lives to morals, family, and their adamant bond of marriage. They never experienced the bitterness of: "until death do us part." They were together solemnly for the entirety of their vows, of which the Barnes are ever so grateful.
Their legacy vines across five children and ten grandchildren, they embodied a full life of passion with their tightly woven family. Greg and Brenda enjoyed fellowship frequently with their children and grandchildren always planting their love.
They are survived by five children, Jennifer (Kale) Duffy of Serena, Gregory (Rachel) Barnes, Jr. of Sheridan, Jenell (Dale) Johnson of Sheridan, Stephanie (Ben) Underhill of Newark, and Elizabeth Barnes of South Carolina. They also leave behind 10 grandchildren whom they thought the world of, and they of them in return. Brenda was my sister Greg was Mt brother inlaw. They were the best! The raised 5 great kids and had several grandchildren that was the love of their lives. She always had 1 or more kids at her house, she always wanted them over. Our hearts will all be broken for awhile as Brenda & Greg was the heart of our family. I miss them every day, I cry for them everyday but I know they are at peace right now with the rest of our family in heaven❤ love & miss you both, Kathy
