Helen I. Beale Michelsen, 84, of Earlville, IL passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 26, 1941 in Monticello, IL the daughter of Levi Borden and Vida M. (Britton) Hendrix. She married Dave Michelsen on May 14, 1999. Helen was a member of the Earlville United Methodist Church. She worked at Marathon Electric in Earlville for seventeen years until 1976. Helen also worked as a domestic house cleaner, and painting for several years. She is survived by her husband, David Michelsen; one daughter, Rhonda Hunt of Asheville, NC; two granddaughters, Kristen (Robert) Bohnstedt of Sandwich, IL, and Katie Brown of Asheville, NC; one grandson, Zachary Skinner; and several great grandchildren; one sister Dorothy "JoAn" Batistini, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Brenda Skinner, one great-grandson Levi Bohnstedt, one grandson, Jonathan Brown, one sister, Janet Clowers, two brothers, Jacob and Francis Hendrix. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Earlville United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Earlville United Methodist Church, with Pastor Sandy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Precinct Cemetery rural Earlville, IL. Memorial may be directed to Earlville United Methodist Church. Arrangements were entrusted to Hanley-Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Earlville, IL.
