Died: November 24, 2025 in Streator, IL.
Helen A. Morgan, 78, of Streator passed away peacefully Monday, November 24, 2025 at her residence in Streator surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 P.M. Friday, November 28th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Rev. Jim Eplin will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Friday, November 28th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be her sons, Eric, Tom and Lee Morgan; son in law, Chad Winterrowd; and grandsons, Dane and Cole Winterrowd and Vaughan Morgan.
Born May 4, 1947 in Morris she was the daughter of Henry and Mabel (Baker) Kennedy. She married Robert "Gus" Morgan on March 11, 1967 at St. Mary's Church, Streator.
She is survived by her husband, Robert "Gus" Morgan of Streator; a daughter, Anne (Chad) Winterrowd of Streator; sons, Eric (Susana) Morgan of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Tom (Angie) Morgan of Streator and Lee (Taylor Buecher) Morgan of Bloomington; grandchildren, Samantha and Vaughan Morgan; Reagan and Ayla Morgan; Dane (Ella Sibert) Winterrowd and Cole Winterrowd; sisters, Mary Trigsted of Streator and Cathy Blakemore of Streator; several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John and Henry Kennedy and a brother-in-law, Dale Blakemore.
Raised in Streator she attended St. Mary's Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1965. She later attended Creighton University.
Helen was a devout Christian and touched many lives over the years through her ministry and music. She was a pro-life advocate and helped to establish the New Hope Pregnancy Center. She was active through the years with the First Assembly of God and Open Bible Church's. She was currently a member of the Lighthouse Church in Streator. She was an active member of the Christian Woman's Club for several years. Helen became a licensed Minister when she moved to Georgia for a time. While in Georgia she did prison ministry and also hosted a weekly Christian radio show entitled "Great Exchange Radio Ministry". She also served as a missionary and took many missions trips to India, Jerusalem, Africa, Israel and Nicaragua to name a few. She also started "Elegant Witness" an internet business featuring witness wear and jewelry. She was known for her heart of service to people in need and her musical and singing abilities to reach out to people. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend she will be dearly missed.
