Ian D. Lawton, 16, of Streator passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025 in Genoa, Ohio.
Funeral services will be at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 2nd at Central Church of Christ.
Visitation will be from 4-6 P.M. Wednesday, July 2nd at Central Church of Christ.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Private burial will be at a later date in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator. The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Born June 30, 2008 in Ft. Riley, Kansas he was the son of Jeromy and Karyn (Klachko) Lawton.
He is survived by his parents of Streator; brothers, Devin Lawton of Slidell, Louisiana, Kaleb Lawton and Christian Lawton both of Streator; maternal grandparents, Mark and Sandra Klachko of Streator; paternal grandmother, Traci Osorto of Pascagoula, Mississippi; aunts and uncles, Mary (Carl) Morgan of Bloomington, Chrissy (Luke) Spratt of Davenport, Iowa, Shannon (Luke) Wadford of Plano, Texas and James (Karina) Cox of Perth, Australia; several cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles (Shirley) Lawton.
Ian was home schooled and was going to be entering his Senior year.
He was an active member of Central Church of Christ where he participated in youth groups and service projects.
Ian was a happy kid who was kind and compassionate and would help anyone. He loved children and spending time with them. He enjoyed Photography and playing video games with his brothers. He was a loving son and brother and will be dearly missed by his family.
Memorials may be directed to Central Church of Christ for Operation Christmas Child.
