Died: February 1, 2023 in Ottawa, IL
James "Jim" Reynolds, 80, of Ottawa, IL, passed away February 1, 2023 surrounded by his family, at his home.
Funeral Service for Jim will be at 10:00A.M. on Monday, February 6, 2023 at St. Columba Church, with Father Nicholas Wilson officiating. Visitation will be held at St. Columba Church from 9:00A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow in St. Columba Cemetery.
James was born July 16, 1942, in Ottawa, IL, to Frank and Mildred (Heilgeist) Reynolds.
Surviving Jim are two sons, Joseph Reynolds of Ottawa and Sean Reynolds of Normal, IL; two grandchildren, Randi Lynn Reynolds and Roman Reynolds; former wife, Debbie Reynolds; a brother Dan (Linda) Reynolds of Ottawa; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Katie Reynolds; a granddaughter, Molly Yacko; two brothers, Thomas Reynolds and John Reynolds; a sister, Margaret Anne Reynolds; and a sister-in-law, Sandy Reynolds.
Jim was a life long member of St. Columba Catholic Church, and a graduate of Marquette High School. He served our country in the U.S. Army as a 82nd Paratrooper and later worked many years at LOF, until his retirement, 18 years ago. In retirement, Jim most enjoyed spending time with family and friends, as well as traveling to Ireland and Notre Dame games.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Columba Catholic Church building fund.

Deepest sympathy from Cloone, Ireland. We heard the sad news when traveling up to my mothers first anniversary Mass in Cloone on 3rd Feb and the priest prayed for him at that Mass. I didn't meet Jim on his last visit but It was a pleasure to meet him with his brother Danny in Annaghmaconway a few years ago.
