Died: May 28, 2024 in Streator, IL
Janet McCall, 82 of Streator passed away Tuesday morning (May 28, 2024) in Streator.
Following cremation, a celebration of life will be held Saturday (June 8th) at 2:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Ottawa.
Janet was born on July 11, 1941, in Marseilles to Kerdith E. and Virginia L. (Schwartz) Scanland. She married Terrell McCall on July 26, 1988. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2008.
Surviving is a sister Sue Atwood of Wisconsin, brother Roger Scanland of Maryland, nephew, Robert (Veronica) Weber, great nephews, Nathan (Sarah), Andrew (Amber) and Zachary (Hailey) Weber, Stepchildren, Arthur McCall, Nina Rodene, Terry Pittman, Robert McCall and step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents, husband Terrell, brothers Kerdith Scanland Jr. and Bernard Dwyer, and sisters Louise Weber and Jean Gmelich.
She attended Streator Grade schools and retired from Owens Illinois Glass. Janet was an active member of the Jehovah Witness for many years.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Veronica Weber for the care of her for 4 years, and Sue Clausen, Zach Weber, and Robin Turner.
Memorials may be made to the family of Janet McCall.
