Jeremiah Patrick Nagle, 79, of Ottawa, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at St. Patrick Church in Ottawa with Rev. David Kipfer, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be at St. Columba Cemetery following the mass. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. with the Knights of Columbus in attendance. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.
Jerry was born on August 13, 1942 in Ottawa to Joseph and Eileen (Dix) Nagle. He was a pipefitter for the Local Union 81 and 597, where he was a member for over 60 years. Jerry married Carole Goetsch on November 24, 1962 at St. Theresa Church in Earlville. He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Ottawa, Local Union 81/597, and was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Jerry loved golf, concerts and musicals, following his grandchildren's sports and activities, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Carole; his four children, Kelly (George) Shanley, Kerry (Dave) Kistenfeger, Shane (Mollie) Nagle, Ryan (Tina Howard) Nagle, all of Ottawa; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Joseph (Celeste) Nagle; and three sisters, Nan (Charlie) Butler, Christina (Ed) Kuleck, and Nora (Rich) VanHam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Eileen; a son, Sean; and two sisters, Mary Clancy and Melissa Hellman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Starved Rock Regional Center, St. Patrick Church, or Marquette Academy.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Kara Kistenfeger, Alex Shanley, Quinn Kistenfeger, Nolan Nagle, Keegan Nagle, Garrett Nagle, and Noah Nagle.
