Jim Pfeffer Obituary

Jim Pfeffer
Born: November 1, 1944 in Ottawa, IL
Died: July 14, 2025 in Morris, IL
Jim "Peff" Pfeffer, 80 of Seneca, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Morris Hospital with his beloved wife by his side.
Following Jim's wishes, no services will be held. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory.
Jim was born November 1, 1944, in Ottawa, IL to the late Bernard and Mildred (Roberts) Pfeffer. He married Nancy Helland on January 25, 1975. This year was their 50th wedding anniversary. Jim was the last of his family's legacy to work at their funeral home and furniture store. He worked for many years at DuPont and later Caterpillar in Aurora until he transitioned to self-employment and opened his business "The Blind Guy".
He was a proud Green Bay Packers and Nascar fan. Being at the Nascar races with friends made it even more fun for him and Nancy. Together they also enjoyed many fishing trips in Minnesota and Wisconsin. As years went on, their fun became cruising on the Illinois River with their girls, Maggie May and Katie Kay.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his son, Mike; his father-in-law, Alvin; his brother and sister-in-laws, Jerry and Joanne, Judy, Jenelle and Terri Helland; as well as many nieces, nephews, and his cousins; and their newest girl, Dalanie Lee.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert; his mother-in-law, Lois; his sister-in-law, Sandy; and his brother-in-laws, Jim, Roger, and Dale Helland.

My condolences to Jim´s family, Jim was a great guy, I worked with him back in the day at LM´s here in Seneca, I remember his truck with "The Blind Guy" on it and my kids asking why, lol, I would always see Jim at Crotty Park walking his cute puppies, he was a proud papa to those fur babies! Rest in peace Jim you will be sadly missed.

I knew Jim almost my whole life. Jim was my son's godparents. Nancy still is. I have many wonderful memories of Jim. I'm not sure who loved the Packers more, my son(Adam) or Jim.Nancy was a loving wife and I pray for her and all of Jim's family.
