Died: September 29, 2025 in Marseilles, IL
John H. "Mofo" Logsdon, 63, of Marseilles, IL, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, October 4 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Clark officiating. Burial will be in Galloway Cemetery in Fall River Township. At the request of John and the family, please wear camouflage for the services.
John was born on May 29, 1962, in Ottawa, IL, to John M. and Linda P. (Johnson) Logsdon.
He was employed at Marseilles Brick Factory. He was a member of the United Steel Workers of America, Local #31, and served as Union Steward. Recently, he was employed by Glenwood RV Resort. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating; and was a talented dart player.
He is survived by his loving partner of 22 years, Margaret Sly; his children, Travis (Emily) Logsdon, Jeremiah (Alexis Ferracuti) Stearns, Sophia Sly, and Meriah Sly; his granddaughter, Maddie; his siblings, Allen (Marilynn) Logsdon and Susan L. (Dennis) Handcock; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death his parents and his brother, Daniel J. Logsdon.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Pallbearers will be Travis and Allen Logsdon, Nick Grandadam, Chris Donnelly, Ray Mitchell, Bobby Janke, Mike Shew, Bill Peters, and Hugh Williams.
