John James Roe, 67, of Marseilles, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at his daughter's home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
John was born on July 24, 1958, in Ottawa, to James "Jim" Edward and Stella (Vangelisti) Roe.
He had been employed as a carpenter and roofer. He was also an avid collector. John enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, playing the slots and in pool tournaments, hanging out with friends, and his dog, Stella.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Thomas) McCague; a step-son, Mark Lewis; three grandchildren, Hayden Johnson, and Owen and Mylee McCague; four step-grandchildren, Kalei, Kaleb, Alexis, and Chloe McCague; one step-great-grandson, Atlas; a sister, Kathy Stahl; an uncle, Henry Roe; his lifelong, best friend, and cousin, Jimmy Vangelisti; best friends, Clyde and Kerby, and his dog, Stella.
John is preceded in death by his parents; one son, James Roe; and a step-daughter, Tracy Lewis.
